Usha Soundarapandian, MD Investigator

Usha Soundarapandian, MD earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.S) degree at Stanley Medical College in India. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Madurai Medical College in India before moving to the United States. She fulfilled her residency in family medicine at The Carilion Clinic-Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC) Family Medicine Residency Program, Roanoke, Virginia and has been practicing as board certified family physician in North Carolina since 2011. Dr. Soundarapandian has over 12 years of experience diagnosing and treating a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. She enjoys the long-term patient- physician relationship. She completed training for Good Clinical Practice for Clinical Trials and also receives ongoing training in clinical research.

Dr. Soundarapandian is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. She was awarded the outstanding Service Excellence in Patient Satisfaction in 2010 and received the Award of Excellence of the National Institute of Geriatrics in 2013.
