Angela Plummer MSN, FNP-BC - Investigator
Angela A. Plummer is an Investigator for Oculus Research and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with her Bachelors in Biology in 2003 from UNC-Chapel Hill and her Master’s in Nursing in 2012 from East Carolina University. Throughout her career, Angela has been committed to caring for the communities of Johnston and Wake county. She has worked in public and community health, serving patients who are at the highest risk for healthcare complications, including the uninsured, underinsured, frail elderly, homeless, and immigrant populations. She thrives in a collaborative care model and seeks to provide compassionate and patient-centered care despite socioeconomic barriers and negative social determinants of health. Angela believes that every person deserves high-quality, individualized healthcare. As a female, African American primary care provider, she hopes to be a source to bridge the gap of healthcare access and disparities for minorities within her community. She prides herself in “treating others the way I’d want to be treated.” She created Rose Hope Primary Care PLLC so that she and her team can do just that! During her free time, Angela loves to spend time with her husband and two young daughters who she dubs as her “Shimmer and Shine!” She loves her local church and enjoys interior decorating and remodeling shows on HGTV.
